The science element is a bit remiss with her, but same thing – “your dad and I have been eating my canning for 50 years and we are still here.”

Your photos are gorgeous. Perhaps you can share some tips?

I know what you mean about having ideas for food that you just never get around to, and then forgetting… I need to keep better track of that stuff!

I’m always enrapt by the beauty & nourishment in tiny little lentils… and now I’m fearing I’m going to have to buy another cookbook as well…

You’ve made me want to run and pick it up right now! Lentil soup is one of my favorite comfort foods, and this looks like a great version.

Very tasty and easy. I’ve been using the book more often than I expected too, and have been overall pleased with how everythings coming out. Stunning photography on your site, by the way. Keep writing!

So there’s the perfect thing. If I can’t send cheese to you in Canada, then I can send you some pre-cooked black Beluga lentils….! I’ll include them with the book. The soup with as many ingredients as a sonnet — very nice.

Thank you so much! I should send Nigel (that’s how I think of him. Sometimes Nige!) a note and thank him for being “the only begetter…”
I’ll try the lentil soup that has as many ingredients as a sonnet tonight. Sounds like a cheerful recipe. And where does one buy a package of pre-cooked beluga lentils? I can’t even buy raw ones here. I get mine from Purcell Mountain Farms.
I’m so glad you’re back online!
