The tomatillo sauce and company was sublime! :D

glutenfreeforgood — yes, i have a thing for science types too (hence, simon). apparently a lot of them come through my city. and of course you’re right, it’s about the company and conversation. still, when the food works out that’s nice too. : )

funny comments, benj. you make me laugh. oh, and i DID have it on tungsten. i’ll have to appeal to my photographer brother for help.

emily — glad to hear that the tomatillo salsa turned out well for you. it’s one of my standbys now.

It’s never spicy enough. I’ve made your tomatilla salsa before, a couple of months ago for a party and it was a big hit. I can see it pairing well with the fish. Can’t wait to try it.

I come here those as much as for the cooking (hell, here’s the truth: I don’t cook. I sure can eat though. Wife cooks and smetimes I leave her one of your recipes). For the photos, do you have a tungsten setting?

I LOVE science types! Sounds like you had a delightful evening regardless of all the potential set-backs. You gotta go with the flow! It helps to have a bottle of wine on hand for nights like that!
P.S. Oh, and the tacos sounded wonderful! But the food isn’t the most important thing — it’s the company that makes an evening so special, isn’t it?!

Couch surfing…yeah, I’ve heard of it, but I don’t know if that’s quite our style. Who knows… But hey, have fun!
