Ok now let’s talk about the gym. I have decided that I deserve a lovely place to work out that I enjoy so that exercise is a positive in my life, not a negative. So I’ve decided to prioritize my gym membership like I do organic veggies and grass-fed beef.

And now, i belong to a gym that is clean, big, plenty of perfect equipment, a full yoga program, great products to use in the locker room like spray deodorant, a pool a sauna and my favorite–a eucalyptus scented steam room. It seems excessive, I know. But all I can say is that when the gym feels like a spa…it’s heaven. Do it! :-)

I so enjoy your stories, as much as the recipes. Speaking of recipes I made the black lentil salad from a couple of posts ago and it was so easy and so good. I used dill because that’s what I have outside and that worked good.

My joke about lavendar (which I LOVE) is that it “tastes like old ladies” :)

I hope your cheeks have ceased hurting from all that scowling… certainly these cookies put a smile right back on your face. And the wine — well, that had to have helped some too! Love me some Banyuls…

No fair posting such a recipe while I’m stuck at a desk and far far away from anything that doesn’t come out of a vending machine.

Your cookies sound great, and I got really interested at the thought of pairing them with syrah. That would be a great dessert.

Our neighbor has started cooking for us sometimes, and I’ve been sending her your recipes (she lets me place orders). Jackie, skip the bean cookies please! Funny story beanstock, is it true? Did you really kick down a door?

Though I am ashamed to admit I’ve still not tried my hand. Maybe when I can belly up to the counter without still being 4 ft away. But then again – it may be years. Either way I look forward to getting the posts!
